Hello love, I'm looking at selling in a few months. You are welcome to pass on my contact details to your new people to start with a chat. I'm still finessing the house and rejigging the garden so it wont be ready for valuations until end March.

I'm looking forward to seeing you and Susannah at your farewell. Getting to this point has been the bigger job, I imagine so well done! Once you're on your way, you'll be filling all the other cups that make life so satisfying. I'm looking forward to all your future instalments,

Yep, you got that right, regarding the narrow passage way between those orange obstacles on Mullum road. Me and my up market Chinese car (a Haval, rented in Tweed for $110 USD/week) have been threading that needle since I arrived on 18 Aug. Been to Boogarem 3 times and Hell's Holes once, the latter not really a prime spot of interest. A rough road to get to the gate and once at the hole not so impressive. Next up is Rocky Creek area swimming hole with Oren.
The tennis courts at Suffolk are free, and the kids and me have been taking advantage of that. If the gate is locked there is a narrow slit in the fence for entering.
Bruce the joke teller.

Yes Mitra, I understand the science and the maths maynot always play out that way. I think I was just having a wander down the possibilities if Mandy ran as an Independent. There are certainly too many moving parts to be predictive. But the Nats did come in third on primaries. Yes there's and the fasr right minor partoes would prpobably still not preference her. BUt if she ran as an independent shwo should be able to do a preference deal where she gets a placing higher than labour on the HTV card. Therefore I thought 60% who would preference her is not out of the question and then she is in with a chance.
Thanks for input Michael

And …. your analysis of how it might have gone different with Mandy as an independent makes no sense. … apart from the fact that Nat votes would know she was a green and preference ALP, more important is that Nats aren’t going to finish third, once the far right/cooker preferences of 16% are allocated mostly to the Nats they end up around high 30’s percentage putting them above ALP / Mandy. (first place in 3-party) with final winner always depending on which of Mandy or ALP get less.

Yes Ray I agree and I hope it gets up. The issue seems to be that National Parks are saying they will not consider a boardwalk on this land under any circumstances. Also the Greens on council are a bit hesitant to see the removal of any vegetation for the baordwalk. But if the momentum is there from the community then I think that we can push it through.

[…] Elia Hauge, newly elected and youngest councillor, led the push to switch from Rous and relook at Laverty’s Gap option. Elia has the added advantage of being a water engineer, so it seemed fitting to sit down and ask her opinion during this accompanying interview. […]

Hi Michael, just wanted to say thanks for your comments about David Warth and the Echo's lack of integrity in endorsing him without being truthful about his previously stated tin foil hat beliefs. I did know and wouldn't have considered voring for him but at the meet the candidates he came across as being reasonable and "normal" and if I hadn't known better I could well have been persuaded to vote for him. As I'm sure many people thought and did. Once again the Echo shows its strange bias - has never been the same under Hans' editorship.
Hope you're well,

Maybe - it was a conspiracy .... just think how much great reporting mileage the Echo will get from having a conspiracy nut on the council. All the nonsense about Smart Cities; Agenda 2030; 15 minute cities; 5G; anti-vax; anti-environmentalism that Warth promotes in his events; along with the Chemtrails; Climate Denial; Flat Earthism etc of many of his supporters leads for great news material.

But seriously - not making it very clear what people were voting for was a huge disservice of the Echo as I really hope we don't have 17% of the shire so far down the rabbit hole they knowingly voted for Warth.

Yes Mitra - it has been complicated. The info was late and changing as it went up on the Electoral commission site. There were a couple of errors most of which have been corrected.
