Grand Old Homes of Byron
Even though I try not to quote the Murdoch press, The Daily Telegraph did a story on the grand old homes of Byron Bay during September. It featured properties for sale that I have already profiled in previous Hot Properties. Longfield, a renovator’s delight – or nightmare – is on Wilsons Creek Road Mullumbimby- $4.4M. Tyrone is a 22 Ha landholding with restored homestead built in the 1880s with a price tag of $4.5M. Cedar House in Mullumbimby is a beautiful old home on Dalley St. Agent, Todd Buckland from Byron Shire REA thinks it is close to selling for around $2M. Rishworths Lane, Brooklet, ‘a Rolls Royce rural property and historic estate’ has been sold by Ku Darroch from Real Estate of Distinction for $4.4M. Read the full article here.

103 Nielson St East Lismore
Property valuation firm Herron Todd Wright is spruiking Lismore as a good place for entry-level or First Home Buyer market.
‘Within the Lismore locality, the affordable end of the market that provides an entry into the property market for let’s say less than $350,000 offers a wider range of choice not available in the beachside or coastal areas,’ the firm stated. It sees good potential, with 103 Nielson Street, East Lismore (pictured above) as an example of a strong buyers market. The three-bedroom home sold for $335,000 earlier this year.
The property, according to Lismore City Council records, is flood-free, within 50 metres of sporting fields, three kilometres by road from the Lismore CBD and within one kilometre of Southern Cross University.
