426 Coopers Shoot Road, Coopers Shoot
Byron Shire continues attracting people from the film industry. Janine Allis, owner of Boost Juice and Shark Tank participant, purchased the newly built property in Wategos Beach for $17 million. The vendors on that sale were film producer Claire Jensz and her film writer and director husband John Raftopoulos. Their new purchase is the equestrian property in Coopers Shoot, Byron Bay, hinterland, for $7.8 million. The 18-hectare property is known as Alfred Lodge. Jensz and Raftopoulos’s love story inspired the romantic drama Take My Hand, starring Radha Mitchell, Adam Demos and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, also a Byron local. The film will be released later this month, featuring scenes shot in Byron, Bangalow, and Brunswick Heads.
