Actress Madeleine West buys in Suffolk

The Byron celebrity attraction factor continues to soar.

The latest is actor Madeleine West, who has separated from her husband celebrity chef Shannon Bennett four years ago, has now emerged as a buyer in Suffolk Park.

West has bought on the dress ­circle paying $4.6 million for a beachfront with a view-through to Tallow Beach. The two-level home has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a three-car garage, and a home office, which has a private deck with views also to the hinterland. Its 952 sqm grounds come with a heated pool.

Alcorn Street has been in high ­demand in recent years, and particularly busy last year, with seven sales recorded between $2,534,000 and West’s $4.6 million. It’s the same street that actor Luke Hemsworth and model Gemma Ward both own property.

West’s former husband has owned at Belongil Beach since 2013 when he paid $2 million for a five-lot, 4588sqm block of land, before building a ­modern home on the block bought from the late John Cornell and his wife Delvene Delaney.
