The Range by the Lanes for sale
Emma and Tom Lane, of the Oroton fashion empire family, are selling their Byron Bay residency, The Range. The Coopers Shoot property on 48 hectares was leased to Nicole Kidman/Keith Urban family while here shooting the Nine Perfect Strangers TV series for a rumoured $25,000 a week.
The off-market price is currently $40 mil and will set a new record if the sale comes anywhere near that. No doubt inspired by the recent $26 million record purchase in Suffolk Park by Clare Mulham, daughter of billionaire Imelda Roche.
The Lanes have been linked with some of the most notable properties in the Byron Bay area since 2011, when they swapped Manly and $4 million for their first hinterland home, Amileka. Most notably they developed the organic agribusiness The Farm at Ewingsdale, which they sold in 2020.
The Range is their latest creative enterprise, set on 48 hectares in the hinterland of Byron Bay, purchased in 2017 for $3.8 million, and built into a luxury retreat that is described on its website as “a perfect fusion of an Australian farmhouse with Spanish Finca influences”.
