A Flood of Possibility
We cannot escape that parts of the Northern Rivers are flood-prone. It has been so for a long time and will probably get worse, so living with flooding is something we will have to adapt to. I have been watching and learning more about raising houses and renovating interiors to be more resilient to floods. I have had clients who have been through the process and feel confident assisting buyers prepared to buy, live in or rent a flood-affected property. As always, there are opportunities in adversity, and I am happy to talk to any new client considering purchasing in flood-affected neighbourhoods. This one, listed by Brad Rogan and Sotheby’s at 24 Morrison Street Mullumbimby, looks like good value, and although it did not flood inside in 2022, it can be raised in the future.
